ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY – Led by 16 kills from sophomore Teresa Sorrentino (Bellerose, N.Y.), the Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball team defeated Bard College in straight sets (25-22, 25-18, 25-15) on Wednesday night. The Blue Knights improved to 8-8 overall and to 3-1 inside the Skyline Conference.

Sorrentino finished with 16 kills against only three errors and posted a hitting percentage of .371. Sophomore Courtney Kenney (Hicksville, N.Y.) closed out the match with 13 kills and 13 digs. Senior Katie Toole (Wallkill, N.Y.) totaled 27 assists.

Mount Saint Mary will travel to the Salem State Invitational this weekend. They'll take on Western New England, Southern Maine, and Salem State in a one-day tournament on Saturday, October 3. The first match is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
