NEWBURGH, NY – After losing the first set on Thursday evening, the Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball team rallied to capture the next three sets and the match, defeating Lehman College, 3-1 (24-26, 25-15, 25-17, 25-17). The Blue Knights improved to 2-3 on the season while the Lightning dropped to 0-2.
Sophomore
Jacqueline Nadeau (Uniondale, N.Y.) finished with a team-high 12 kills against only one error. She also recorded 14 digs. Junior
Elizabeth Douress (Rahway, N.J.) posted seven kills (against one error) to go along with four aces. Senior
Katie Toole (Wallkill, N.Y.) had 36 assists and sophomore
Heather Schaeffer (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) tallied a team-high 24 digs.
Up next for the Blue Knights is a home tri-match with Manhattanville and William Paterson. The first match is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
