NEWBURGH, NY- The Blue Knights defeated the Bloodhounds of John Jay College in three sets (25-22, 25-16, 25-15), led by a solid effort from
Elizabeth Douress (Rahway, N.J.) who contributed 11 kills. The Knights improved to 11-9 overall while the Bloodhounds dropped to 3-15.
Sophomore
Heather Schaeffer (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) added 13 digs, while senior
Katie Toole (Wallkill, N.Y.) had 25 assists. During the second set sophomore
Teresa Sorrentino (Bellrose, N.Y) led the Blue Knights on a ten point run which gave them a 15-2 lead.
Mount Saint Mary will return to action this Thursday, October 8th as they travel to Staten Island. They will take on the College of Staten Island Dolphins at 7 p.m. The Dolphins head into the matchup with a record of 6-10.
