NEWBURGH, NY – The Mount Saint Mary College women's soccer team won their fifth straight game on Wednesday evening, defeating the Albany College of Pharmacy by a score of 3-0. The Blue Knights improved to 7-5-1 overall.
Sophomore
Erin McKeon (Watertown, Conn.) opened the scoring for the Mount in the 12th minute, putting home a rebound for the 1-0 lead. Sophomore
Alexi Pascale (Monroe, N.Y.) followed up with a goal in the 19th minute, finishing off a cross from senior
Danielle Bucco (Washingtonville, N.Y.). Pascale would add another tally in the 47th minute.
Junior
Megan Cotta (Wall, N.J.) and freshman
Casey Roland (Bethpage, N.Y.) combined on the shutout for the Blue Knights.
Mount Saint Mary will have the weekend off before heading to Vassar College on Tuesday. The non-conference game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. in Poughkeepsie.
