FARMINGDALE, NY – Farmingdale sophomore Jackie Messina (Smithtown, N.Y.) scored in the 64th minute to lead the Rams to a 1-0 defeat of Mount Saint Mary College on Saturday. The Blue Knights dropped to 7-3 overall and to 3-1 in the conference while Farmingdale moved to 4-8 overall and 3-0 in the Skyline.

Megan Cotta (Wall, N.J.) made ten saves, the Rams took the lead for good when junior Trish Pickford (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) slid a pass to the front of the goal and Messina finished the play for a one goal lead.
Cotta finished with 12 saves to keep the Blue Knights alive in the game. Farmingdale freshman Amanda Maass (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) made three saves to pick up the win for the Rams.
Mount Saint Mary continues their season a week from today when they travel to Sage to take on the Gators. The game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11.
