Mount Saint Mary College Athletics

Senior Carlos Valdez averaged 18.3 points and 14.7 rebounds during a 3-0 week for Mount Saint Mary. He shot 60.5-percent from the field and posted a double-double in all three contests. The senior set the MSMC all-time rebounding record on Tuesday against Mount Saint Vincent, a game he finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Against previously unbeaten St. Joseph's College, Valdez scored 16 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as the Knights went on to a 99-61 win. Then against Maritime on Saturday, Valdez added 23 points and 17 more rebounds during an 80-46 victory.
