Entering his 8th season in 2025–26, Lowell serves as the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach, Assistant Athletic Director, and NCAA Compliance Officer at Mount Saint Mary College.
In 2025, he led the Knights to an 8–10 overall record and a 4–4 Skyline Conference mark, securing the program’s third straight playoff appearance—tying the longest postseason streak in program history. Lowell coached Shannon McGowan and Delisianna Naccarato to First Team All-Conference honors, while Karlie Ferrucci and Briana Fassett earned Second Team selections. Under his guidance, McGowan became the first player in program history to reach 100 points in a season, setting the current record with 101 points.
In 2024, the Knights posted a 10–6 record, their winningest season since 2013, earning Lowell both Skyline Conference and ECAC Coach of the Year honors. The Knights finished 4th in the conference, their highest placement since 2014, and produced three First Team All-Conference selections: Victoria Ward, Maggie Horan, and Liz Petrellese.
During the 2023 campaign, the Knights returned to the Skyline Conference Tournament as the 6th seed, finishing 6–11 overall and 3–5 in conference, with Kate Crooker earning First Team honors and Victoria Ward earning Second Team All-Conference recognition.
In 2022, the program’s first full season after the pandemic, Lowell led the team to an 8–7 record, its first winning season since 2014, while mentoring All-Skyline selections Kate Crooker and Maggie Horan.
Across his early tenure—including two COVID-shortened seasons—Lowell produced multiple All-Conference players, highlighted by Meghan Shalvey’s First Team selection in 2021 and two Second Team honorees in 2019, his first season leading the program. Across those early years, he also saw 26 student-athletes named to the Skyline Academic Honor Roll.
Before becoming head coach, Lowell spent five seasons as an assistant, working closely with goalkeepers and contributing to practice and game strategy. During that span, the Knights amassed 36 victories, including 22 in Skyline play, and made four postseason appearances, including the program’s first-ever home postseason win in 2017. He was elevated to Interim Head Coach in 2019 and became the program’s full-time leader in 2020.
