Emily Gursky is entering her 2nd season as the men's and women's swimming assistant coach.
She brings a special perspective to the Mount Saint Mary College swimming and diving program — one that comes from being both a proud alumna and a former Knight herself. As a student-athlete, Emily trained under Head Coach Chris Mance and developed a deep appreciation for the values that define the Mount experience: hard work, trust, and a genuine sense of team.
Emily channels those lessons from her own time in the pool into every practice and meet. She understands firsthand what it means to balance academics, athletics, and personal growth, and she takes pride in helping each swimmer find their confidence, purpose, and joy in the sport.
Emily graduated from Mount Saint Mary College with a degree in Journalism and went on to earn her Master of Business Administration (MBA). Beyond the pool, her background in communication and leadership reflects her passion for building relationships and fostering a strong, supportive team culture — one where every athlete feels seen, valued, and motivated to succeed.
With her blend of experience, empathy, and enthusiasm, Emily embodies what it means to be a Knight — and helps ensure that every swimmer who joins the Mount family feels at home from day one.
