Mike Lowell

Entering his 7th season as head coach and now Assistant Athletic Director, Lowell has a 27-44 record with an 11-25 record in conference. This past season, the Knights went 10-6 winning their most games since 2013 and Lowell won both Skyline Conference and ECAC Coach of the Year. As the 4th seed, this was the highest MSMC has finished in conference since 2014. The Knights had three Skyline First Team All-Conference players in Victoria Ward, Maggie Horan, and Liz Petrellese.

During the 2023 season, Lowell led the Knights back into the playoffs as the 6th seed with a record of 6-11 and 3-5 in conference play. He helped Kate Crooker and Victoria Ward to All-Conference appearances, with Crooker being selected to the First Team and Ward the Second Team.

In 2022, the Mount's first full season since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lowell guided the Mount to an 8-7 overall record, the program's first winning season since the Knights went 8-7 in 2014. Lowell mentored a pair of All-Skyline Conference selections in Kate Crooker and Maggie Horan.

In two of his three seasons at the helm of the Knights, Lowell has had to navigate shortened seasons due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. In his only full season in 2019, Lowell mentored a pair of Second Team All-Skyline Conference selections and in 2021 saw Meghan Shalvey named First Team All-Conference. Over three season, Lowell has had Four All-Skyline Conference selections and 26 student-athletes named to the Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll.

After serving as an assistant coach for five seasons, Lowell was made the Interim Head Coach of the Mount Saint Mary College Women’s Lacrosse program prior to the 2019 season before becoming the full-time mentor of the program for the 2020 season.

Lowell spent five seasons as the assistant coach in the women's lacrosse program, primarily working with the goalkeepers and assisting in practice and game planning, before being named the interim head coach for the 2019 season.

Over the course of his five years as an assistant in Newburgh, the Mount posted 36 victories, including 22 against Skyline Conference rivals. The Knights have appeared in the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament in four of his five seasons, including in 2017 when the Mount hosted and won a game in the event for the first time in program history.
