Rich Curran

Rich Curran enters his first year overseeing the flag football program at Mount Saint Mary College.

Curran takes over the program after coaching the past two seasons at Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, NY. After starting the program in 2024, Curran led the Warriors to a sectional title appearance in only the second season of inception. During the 2025 season, Curran coached three All-Section honorees and one All-State selection.

Prior to his time at Our Lady of Lourdes, Curran coached two seasons of football at SUNY Cortland, where he saw tremendous success assisting in back-to-back Empire 8 Conference Championships and being a part of back-to-back Coaching Staffs of the Year. Curran coached the defensive line and linebackers on the defensive side of the ball. During his time at Cortland, Curran coached an All-American, two All-Region selections, four All-Empire 8 selections, an ECAC Division III Rookie of the Year, and an Empire 8 Rookie of the Year. Off the field, Curran oversaw strength and conditioning logistics for the program and was the JV head coach.

Curran also had collegiate coaching stints at Stonehill College and Massachusetts Maritime Academy with their football programs. During his time with both programs, Curran earned the title of Recruiting Coordinator, managing all recruiting efforts, which included campus visits, road trips, social media, and more.

Prior to jumping to the collegiate level, Curran coached football at Red Bank Catholic High School, where he assisted at all levels of the program and was on staff for the program's 2018 Non-Public Group 3 State Championship. He also had a brief stint with the Miami Dolphins, where he worked in the youth programs and football operations departments.

Curran played football collegiately at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH, where he was a four-year letterman and named a captain for the Hawks. Once his playing days were over, he kickstarted his coaching career as a volunteer assistant with the program coaching the running backs.

Curran, who earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Saint Anselm College and Master of Science in Global Sports Business at Rutgers University, resides in Wappingers Falls with his wife, Molly, and two sons, Peter and Emmett.
