Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary College got back in action at home as it hosted Ramapo College on Sunday morning. The Roadrunners would be the team to get off to a hot start, scoring 5 unanswered goals in the first 7:36 of the first quarter. The Knights were only able to get just 2 shots on goal in the first 15 minutes, with all of them being saved. Neither squad would be able to score in the final 8:24 of the quarter as Ramapo led 5-0. Although the Roadrunners turned the ball over 9 times, the Knights were unable to capitalize, turning the ball over 8 times themselves, and failing 4 of their 8 clearance attempts.

Ramapo would add another goal before the Mount was able to get on the board. Kaitlin Hansen scored on a goal assisted by Shannon McGowan to make it 6-1. The Roadrunners continued to dominate the game, scoring the next 4 goals in this game, and holding the Knights scoreless for the remainder of the half. Mount Saint Mary was going to need to find some answers offensively, creating just 4 shots on goal in the first half. Defensively, they were going to have to bear down, as Ramapo found a lot of open lanes for easy goals in front of the goal.

Senior captain, Briana Fassett, had her best game of the season for the Mount, recording season highs in caused turnovers with 5 and ground balls with 4, all while not turning the ball over once. She was one of the bright spots for the Knights' defense, jumping passing lanes and making it difficult for every Roadrunner she was guarding. Delisianna Naccarato would score her first goal this match off a free position shot, but Ramapo would add 2 goals of their own in the process to make it 12-2. Kasey Senior found Shannon McGowan for a goal late in the period, but they would still trail 13-3 after the third.

McGowan scored her second goal of the game on a woman-up opportunity, assisted by Antonia Licardi. Delisianna Naccarato, Mount Saint Mary's leading point getter this year, found Kaitlin Hansen to make it 15-5 Ramapo. The Knights would add one last goal late in the game, as Kasey Senior made a smart play to find Naccarato for the woman-up goal. Mount Saint Mary would lose this one to Ramapo by the final score of 15-6.
