BRONX, N.Y. — Women's swimming won their meet against Lehman College on the road today, with a final score of 111-52. The meet format included 50-yard swims for stroke races.
The night kicked off with a win from Stefanie Sommer in the 1,000-yard freestyle at a time of 13:40.23.
Cayla Nicholas placed first in the 50-yard freestyle (26.31), 50-yard butterfly (29.31) and the 50-yard backstroke (32.15).
In her first competition appearance, Antonia Licardi picked up two first-place swims in the 200-yard individual medley (2:27.24) and the 500-yard freestyle (6:33.63).
Angelina Mainiero had a couple wins of her own, in the 200-yard freestyle (2:25.39) and 100-yard freestyle (1:04.63).
Ruvarashe Gondo swam to first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 39.29.
The Knights will be back on the road tomorrow for a Skyline Conference match-up with Sarah Lawrence College.
