NEWBURGH, N.Y. — The Mount Saint Mary College men's swim team was defeated by William Paterson 139-48 Saturday afternoon.
Freshman
Joseph Scarola was the top scorer for the Knights, securing the men's first top-place finish this season in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 6:07.68. Scarola also placed second in the 1000 Yard Freestyle at 13:03.66 and third in the 100 Yard Butterfly at 1:05.48 for 16 points.
Marcus Innamorato added two second-place finishes in the 500 Yard Freestyle at 6:09.29 and the 100 Yard Freestyle, and a top-three finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:09.69
"I saw a lot of progress out of our guys," said Head Coach
Chris Mance. "They improved on their times from our first meet and continue to get better with each practice."
Junior
Michael D'Ambrosio had some impressive finishes in his first meet of the season for the Knights, placing second in the 200 Yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:23.11 and second in the 100 Yard Breaststroke at 1:12.68.
Paul D'Ambrosio had his first top-three finish of his career in the 100 Yard Breaststroke at 1:13.67.
Kyle Giuliano added a couple of third-place finishes in the 100 Yard Backstroke and the 50 Yard Freestyle.
