NEW YORK, N.Y. – Freshman Robert Port of the men's cross country team was named the Skyline Conference Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday morning.

Port led all the runners for the Knights placing 48^th in the Men's 8K at the Jasper Fall Cross Country Invitational. He finished with a time of 35:23.9, which is the best time so far for the young runner to start his career. Mount Saint Mary placed 9^th out of all unseeded teams in the race.
 
Port and the Knights are back in action this Saturday September 21^st as they travel to run in the St. Joseph's Long Island Invitational at Bethpage.
