NEW YORK, N.Y. — Women's swimming headed to New York, N.Y. this afternoon to face the Bulldogs of John Jay College. The best of both teams shined to create some close races across the pool, but the meet ultimately ended with a 48-46 win for the Knights.
"I don't think there was a single piece of tonight that could have gone better," said Head Coach Chris Mance.
Meghan Wurster had the first win of the night in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:29.01, before taking first in the 100-yard butterfly as well (1:14.56).
Rhiannon Mulkerrins followed Wurster's lead, winning the 200-yard freestyle at a 2:31.94.
Cayla Nicholas grabbed two first-place finishes in the 200-yard individual medley (2:36.00) and the 100-yard freestyle (1:01.70).
Lastly, Victoria DeLuca cruised to first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 7:27.33.
The Knights will host Brooklyn College this Friday, October 25 for their breast cancer awareness meet at 5 PM.
