New York, N.Y. – A pair of Mount Saint Mary College Women's Track and Field student-athletes have been honored by the Skyline Conference with weekly awards it was announced Tuesday morning. Jessica Kerrigan (Howard Beach, N.Y.) earned Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors while Emily Schneider (Rock Tavern, N.Y.) was named the conference's Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Kerrigan turned in a fifth-place finish for the Mount in the 100-meters with a personal best time of 13.55 seconds on Friday at the RPI Under The Lights Meet. In the field events, Kerrigan added a fifth-place finish in the High Jump and eighth place showings in the Long Jump and Triple Jump.
 
Schneider, who earns her first career weekly honor, took fourth in the Hammer Throw (38.18) and eighth in the Discus (26.01) on Friday, helping the Knights to a fifth place team finish at RPI.
 
Mount Saint Mary returns to action on Sunday when it heads to the United States Merchant Marine Academy for the 2023 Skyline Conference Championship Meet.
