Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Lacrosse team hits the road for a pair of games this week starting with a non-conference game at Ramapo on Wednesday. Mount Saint Mary then opens Skyline Conference play Friday night at Maritime. Live Stats and Video will be made available for both contests for those unable to attend.
 
At A Glance: Mount Saint Mary stopped a two-game slide on Saturday with a 16-13 non-conference victory over Castleton. With the win, the Knights pull to within a game of the .500 mark overall at 3-4.
 
A trio of Knights have scored at least 10 goals on the season, led by 15 markers from 
Victoria Ward (Oceanside, N.Y.). Ward also leads the Knights with 12 assists and is tops on the unit with 27 points. In the midst of a strong all-around season, Ward also chips in 13 draw controls, 12 groundballs and three caused turnovers.
 
Karlie Ferrucci (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) enters Wednesday's contest with 12 goals on the season and is tied for the team lead in draw controls with 15 to go along with 14 groundballs and six caused turnovers. 
Carolyn Del Debbio (Southington, Conn.) joins Ferrucci with a team-high 15 draws, adding five points to the offensive attack as well as seven groundballs and six caused turnovers.
 
Freshman 
Antonia Licardi (Pine Bush, N.Y.) contributes 10 goals and 15 points for the Mount, adding eight groundballs and six caused turnovers. 
Erica Schmidgall (North Massapequa, N.Y.) has amassed 11 points to date for the Knights, adding six groundballs.
 
Kate Crooker (Boonton, N.J.) leads the team in groundballs with 17 and caused turnovers with 13. Crooker forced seven turnovers in Saturday's win, matching the program's single game record. Freshman 
Briana Fassett (New Milford, Conn.) has caused 11 turnovers for the Mount with 
Maggie Horan (Stony Point, N.Y.) checking in with nine caused turnovers and 14 groundballs.
 
In goal, 
Liz Petrellese (Levittown, N.Y.) has made 82 saves over the first seven games of the season and holds a .466 save percentage and a 13.53 goals against average. Petrellese leads the Skyline Conference in total saves and also ranks second on the team with 15 groundballs.
 
Previewing Ramapo: The Roadrunners enter Wednesday's game at 2-5 overall and are coming off a 15-1 victory over Old Westbury on Saturday.
 
Colleen Mason paces the Roadrunners in nearly every statistical category, posting team-highs in goals (27), points (29), groundballs (23), caused turnovers (18) and draw controls (34). Kelly Griffin checks in with 17 goals and 20 points and sits just behind Mason with 33 draw controls to go along with 15 groundballs.
 
Bethany Glaser has assisted on a team-high 10 goals and adds 28 draw controls, while Juliana McClain has scooped 19 groundballs and forced 13 turnovers.
 
Alyssa Curto has seen all the action in goal through seven games and has made 57 saves. Curto is working to a .383 save percentage and a 13.08 goals against average for the Roadrunners.
 
Recent History: The two teams have met 12 times since the start of the 2010 season, with Ramapo holding a 7-5 record in the head-to-head series. The Mount stopped a five-game skid to Ramapo on March 10, 2022 with a 12-11 overtime victory at Kaplan Field.
 
A Look At Maritime: Maritime makes the trip to Coast Guard on Wednesday sporting a 5-1 record on the season. The Privateers suffered their only loss of the year in a 15-14 loss to DeSales on March 17 and have rebounded with victories over Albertus Magnus and Ramapo.
 
Gabrielle Nicolosi leads a balanced scoring attack for the Privateers with 19 goals and 30 points with Nicole Johnson checking with 17 goals, eight assists, 25 points and a team-high 15 groundballs. Morgan Tracy has also potted 17 goals for Maritime and added a helper for 18 points.
 
Avery Jillson-Neuwirth leads the Skyline Conference with 14 assists and added 14 goals of her own to rank second on the team with 28 points. Jenna Lesiewicz is the team leader through seven games with 15 caused turnovers and 28 draw controls.
 
Liz Pomaro has seen all the action in goal to date for Maritime and has turned aside 37 shots. Pomaro holds a .425 save percentage and an 8.33 goals against average, a mark that ranks third in the Skyline Conference.
 
Recent History: Mount Saint Mary holds a 9-3 record in the all-time series with Maritime, but all three losses have come in the last three matchups. The Knights won nine straight games against the Privateers from 2010-18, but have not defeated Maritime since a 19-11 home win on April 4, 2018.
