Rocket League- Rocket League took on conference powerhouse Molloy University on Monday night. Despite goals from
Bob Houk and
Ryan Alvarado, the Knights fell to the Lions 3 games to 0.
Smash Ultimate-
Erik Albanese continued his scorching start to his career at The Mount Wednesday night against Utica University. After his teammates took an impressive 4 stocks off Utica's Kirby and Mr. Game and Watch players, Erik closed out game 1 without losing a single stock, to put the Knights ahead. Game 2 was a similar story, with Erik moving to the opening position and taking all 9 stocks from Utica, while only losing 1. An emphatic win to start the season, with 6-0 and 8-0 game scores. Erik has now taken 51 out of a MAXIMUM 63 stocks in crews matches he's played in for The Mount.
League of Legends- League of Legends also started their Fall campaign against Utica University. In the first official match for MSMC Esports League, the Knights fought hard, but fell 2 games to 0. Game 2 saw the Knights overcome an 8000-gold deficit, and fight until the very end, but unfortunately Utica's objective control was too much.
Kailum Cook had a standout performance, finishing game 2 with a 13/4/14 KDA.
Samuel Guardiola and
Esteban Meza also had impressive showings, participating in 26 and 27 of the teams total kills, respectively.
What's next? Rocket League takes on Roberts Wesleyan University tonight, and League of Legends will take on Southern New Hampshire University on Friday Night. Smash have a bye this week, and will face St. Thomas Aquinas on 10/18.
