Milton, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Cross Country was in action for the second time this season on Sunday, dropping a 37-21 dual meet decision to league rival Yeshiva at the Hudson Valley SportsDome.
Christian Pangione (Edgewater, N.J.) paced the squad with a fourth place finish.
Pangione was the first of six Knights to cross the finish line on Sunday, coming in fourth with a time of 20:32.13 on the 5K course at the Hudson Valley SportsDome.
Christopher Christiano (Waterbury, Conn.) and
Greg Casale (Staten Island, N.Y.) followed closely in the fifth and sixth positions for the Mount. Christiano crossed the line in 20:34.42 with Casale completing his second career race in 20:37.80.
Rounding out the field for the Mount were three newcomers with
Michael Di Tullio (Montgomery, N.Y.) placing 10
th,
Ramasoj Williams taking 13
th and Christopher Astacio (Bronx, N.Y.) taking 14
th. DiTullio completed the race in 23:28.35, Williams came home in 27:34.44 and Astacio finished in 36:58.08.
"Christian did a nice job of leading the men's team today through the wet conditions," said Head Coach
Fred Callo upon completion of the meet.
Mount Saint Mary returns to action at the SportsDome on September 16 when it competes in the New Paltz Invitational.
