Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Golf team opens the 2022 season Thursday morning when it plays host to Skyline Conference rival Manhattanville. Tee-off at the Powelton Club is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
 
At A Glance: Mount Saint Mary welcomes back six players from last season's roster, including Second Team All-Skyline Conference honoree Patrick Shea (Warwick, N.Y.), who finished in a tie for ninth at last fall's Skyline Conference Championship.
 
Head Coach Andy Crane also welcomes back Chris Shea (Warwick, N.Y.), Owen Gallagher (Watertown, Mass.), Matthew Ropiak (Staten Island, N.Y.), John Del Bene (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) and Corey Sowers (Marlboro, N.Y.).
 
The Knights welcome a talented group of newcomers to the roster in 2022 in Christopher Closi (Putnam Valley, N.Y.), an All-Section pick at Lakeland High School, Dylan Joslin (Levittown, N.Y.), Jonathan Kara (White Plains, N.Y.), William Kara (White Plains, N.Y.), J.T. Maccarrone (Lakeland, N.Y.) and Trevor Zamudio (Beacon, N.Y.).
 
Mount Saint Mary finished the 2021 Skyline Conference Championship in fifth place.
 
The Schedule: The Fall portion of the schedule features three home events, including Thursday' season opening dual match, the MSMC Skyline Season Opener on September 9 and the MSMC Shootout on October 12. 
 
The Knights schedule also features Invitationals at Yeshiva, FDU-Florham, Manhattanville, Emmanuel,  Purchase, Arcadia and Farmingdale State.
 
The Skyline Conference Championship is scheduled for October 23 and 24 on the Red Course at Bethpage State Park.
