Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Softball closes a 14-game homestand this weekend when it plays host to Saint Elizabeth on Saturday and league rival St. Joseph's-L.I. Sunday afternoon. Three Knights begin the weekend hitting better than .300 on the season, led by a .351 mark for
Alicia Killeen (Nesconset, N.Y.). Killeen leads the Mount in at-bats (74), hits (26) and runs (17) and adds nine RBI.
Olivia Ferara (Middletown, N.Y.) and Jenna Cendeno (Staten Island, N.Y.) both begin the weekend hitting .333 for the Knights, with Ferara adding 16 runs scored and 13 RBI. Cedeno has scored 10 times and driven in 14 runs for the Mount.
Sofia Gannon (East Patchogue, N.Y.),
Laura Dentato (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and
Samantha Bendig (Tampa, Fla.) are all tied for the team lead in RBI with 15 with Dentato pacing the Knights with three home runs. Bendig has laced a team best five doubles with Gannon producing four doubles and a home run.

Christen Hansen (Cypress, Calif.) paces the Mount with 16 appearances, seven victories and a 2.11 earned run average in 49.2 innings pitched.
Bridget Morris (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) holds team-highs in innings (58.2) and strikeouts (74) while working to a 2.86 earned run average.
Previewing The Eagles: Saint Elizabeth comes to town on Saturday with an 11-6 overall record and an 8-3 mark in the CSAC.
Seven Eagles are hitting at better than .300 on the season, led by a .464 average from Jontae Patton who has scored 14 runs and driven in 15. Karyn Shimzau begins the week with a .439 average in 41 at-bats and has driven in 13 runs.
Alyssa Hampton leads the pitching staff with a 3.78 earned run average, working 107.1 innings to date and striking out 67.
Recent History: Saturday's games will be the first meeting between the two programs.
Scouting St. Joseph's-L.I.: The Golden Eagles enter a conference twinbill with Sarah Lawrence on Saturday with an 11-10 overall record and a 6-4 mark against league rivals.
Jenna DiFina hits .553 for the Golden Eagles in 38 at-bats, while Lindsay Ness hits .444 with eight doubles, 17 runs scored and 18 RBI in 63 at-bats.
Riley Lim-Ellis begins the weekend hitting .438 with 10 RBI for St. Joseph's while Julia Ruocchio bats .413 with 17 RBI and 16 runs scored.
Olivia Verderosa leads the pitching staff with a 5-2 record in 54.2 innings pitched. She has fanned 38 opponent hitters and is pitching to a 3.71 earned run average.
Recent History: The long-time Skyline Conference rivals have met 32 times since the start of the 2008 season with the Knights holding an impressive 23-9 record. The Mount has won five of the last six meetings, including a 3-1 victory in the 2021 Skyline Conference Championship on May 14.
