Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Tennis team returns home to host a pair of matches heading into the Easter Break. The Knights will welcome Skyline Conference rival USMMA to Newburgh on Wednesday afternoon before playing host to Western Connecticut on Thursday.
At A Glance: Mount Saint Mary is in search of its first win of the season, entering Wednesday's contest with the Mariners at 0-3 overall and 0-1 in Skyline Conference play.
Scouting USMMA: The Mariners come to town on Wednesday at 2-3 overall, but with a 2-1 mark in Skyline Conference action. The Mariners topped league rivals Purchase and St. Joseph's-L.I. in convincing fashion before dropping a 6-3 decision to Yeshiva on Sunday.
Recent History: Since the start of the 2017 season, the Knights and Mariners have met four times with USMMA collecting a victory in each meeting.
A Look At West Conn: The Colonials come to town on Thursday sporting a 2-6 overall record. West Conn dropped an 8-1 Little East decision to UMass-Boston on Saturday, a day after sweeping the Knights in Danbury.
Recent History: Since 2010, the Knights and Colonials have met seven times with the Mount holding a 4-3 record. The Mount had won four matches in a row against West Conn prior to Friday's loss.
Women Host West Conn: In addition to the men playing host to Western Connecticut on Thursday, the Mount Saint Mary women's team will welcome West Conn as well. The Knights are in search of their first win of the spring, while the Colonials come to town with a 3-11 overall record.
What's Next: The Men's team travels to Farmingdale State on April 19, while the Women's Team closes the spring at Ramapo on April 26.
