Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Tennis team will play its first match since April 23, 2019 Saturday afternoon when it travels to the USTA facility in Queens, N.Y. to take on Pratt at 12:00 p.m. Saturday's match will be the first of 11 contests for the match during the spring campaign.
 
At A Glance: Andy Crane takes over an entirely new roster for the upcoming 2022 season. The roster is comprised of freshmen Jacques Stanley and Corey Sowers (Marlboro, N.Y.), sophomore John Del Bene (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), junior Matthew Ropiak (Staten Island, N.Y.) and seniors Zack DeCarlo (Walden, N.Y.), Chris Shea (Warwick, N.Y.) and Patrick Shea (Warwick, N.Y.).
 
The Schedule: Mount Saint Mary will play 11 regular season contests in 2022, including five home contests.
 
After the trip to Pratt on Saturday, the Knights open Skyline Conference play at home against Manhattanville on Tuesday before taking to the road to take on Western Connecticut on April 8 and league rival Sarah Lawrence the following day.
 
The Mount returns home for two straight contests in the middle of the month when it plays a conference match against USMMA on April 13 and Western Connecticut against on April 14.
 
Mount Saint Mary plays three of its final five matches on the road starting with a trip to Farmingdale State on April 19. The other two trips include a visit to Ramapo on April 26 and Purchase in the regular season finale on April 20. Home matches down the stretch are against St. Joseph's-L.I. on April 23 and Yeshiva on April 28.
 
At the conclusion of the regular season, the top six teams will square-off for the conference championship. The 2022 Skyline Conference Championship gets underway on May 3, continues with the semifinal round on May 5 and concludes with the Final on May 7.

Women Begin Spring Season: The Mount Saint Mary Women's Tennis team will be in action to start the spring portion of the schedule on April 2 when it plays host to Plattsburg.
 
The Knights posted 6-4 record in 10 matches in the fall and feature Second Team All-Skyline Conference selections Carly Green (Holbrook, N.Y.) and Julia Flynn (Naugatuck, Conn.).
 
What's Next: The men begin conference play against Manhattanville on April 5 while the women host Hartwick on April 10.
