Megan Shalvey (Blauvelt, N.Y.) led the offensive attack with five points, including three goals, and joined Karli Ferrucci (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) and
Ashley Giorgi (Danbury, Conn.) with hat tricks in the victory. Erica Schmigdall (North Massapequa, N.Y.) supported the offense with a trio of assists for the Knights.
Maggie Horan (Stony Point, N.Y.),
Jackie Lindsay (Baldwin, N.Y.) and Ferruci each won four draw controls for the Mount with Ferrucci pacing the squad with six groundballs and a pair of caused turnovers.
Making her collegiate debut,
Liz Petrellese (Levittown, N.Y.) made 10 stops in goal to preserve the one-goal victory.
A Look At Dominican: Sunday will be the Chargers' first contest of the season. Dominican did not compete during the spring of 2021 and held an 0-4 record in 2020 when the season was halted due to Covid-19.
Recent History: Sunday's meeting will be the first on record between the two programs.
What's Next: Mount Saint Mary welcomes Maine Maritime to Newburgh for a 5:00 p.m. contest on March 3.
