West Point, N.Y. – Competing in the West Point Tune-Up Meet on Saturday, Mount Saint Mary College Senior
Kenneth Barrett (Wantagh, N.Y.) set a new school record in the 1,000-meters for the Knights.
Dabein Walker (Wyandanch, N.Y.) also had a strong meet for the Mount with a pair of top-10 finishes.
Barrett highlighted the day for the Mount, placing 13
th overall in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:41.47. The mark shattered the pervious standard of 2:44.93 set by Adam Al-Harazieh on February 18, 2017.
Walker produced two stellar results for Mount Saint Mary on Saturday, placing fourth in the Long Jump and eighth in the High Jump. He posted a mark of 6.35 meters in the Long Jump and 1.80 meters in the High jump for the Knights.
Jordan Wallace and
Ramasoj Williams also turned in strong showings for the Knights in the 60-meter dash. Wallace placed 21
st with a time of 7.56 seconds with Williams taking 36
th in 7.80 seconds.
Next up for the Knights is the two-day ECAC Championship Meet at West Point on March 4-5.
