Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Tennis team puts its three match winning streak to start the season on the line Saturday morning when it travels to Purchase for an 11:00 a.m. contest with the Panthers. Saturday's match will be the first for the Mount since a 7-2 road win at Lehman on September 18.

At A Glance: The Mount has won each of its three matches on the season in convincing fashion, posting an 8-1 victory over Western Connecticut and 7-2 triumphs over Bard and Lehman in their last two outings.
Four players are unbeaten in singles play heading into Saturday's contest led by 3-0 marks from
Julia Flynn (Naugatuck, Conn.),
Carly Green (Holbrook, N.Y.) and freshman
Victoria Valencia (Floral Park, N.Y.).
Flynn has won each of her three matches at second singles and is 9-0 on her career after going 6-0 last spring. Green is 3-0 at the third singles position, while Valencia has won each of her three contests at fifth singles for the Mount.
Flynn and Green have teamed up at the top doubles flight for a 2-1 record to date, while
Katie Murray (Highland Mills, N.Y.) and Valencia stand at a perfect 3-0 at the second position.
Gracie Monahan (Deer Park, N.Y.) and
Katrina Imperio (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) have won each of their two outings at the third slot.
Last Time Out: The Knights won two of the three doubles matches against the Lightning before taking the second through sixth singles positions. Monahan clinched the victory for the Mount with a 6-2, 6-1 fourth singles victory.
Previewing The Panthers: Purchase enters Saturday's match at 2-1 overall and 0-1 in league play following a 7-2 defeat at the hands of Farmingdale State on Tuesday.
Olivia Menchell is 3-0 on the season, winning twice at the fourth position and once at the fifth slot. Kali Secrest is also 3-0 for the Panthers, claiming each of her three decisions at the sixth spot.
At the top of the lineup, Nikita Kordzielewska is 2-1 at the top flight with Laine Neufeld splitting her two decisions at second singles.
In doubles action, Secrest and Julie Shuett are 2-1 at the second spot with Korzielewska going 2-1 at first doubles with two different partners.
Recent History: The Knights are 2-4 against the Panthers since the start of the 2016 season, but have won each of the last two decisions. In the spring of 2021, the Mount posted a 4-1 win over the Panthers on May 3 to close out the regular season.
What's Next: The Knights will host Sage on Monday in a match that was rained out on September 23 and continue a busy week with home matches against St. Joseph's-L.I. on Wednesday and Vaughn on Saturday afternoon.
