West Point, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Track and Field team opened the 2021-22 Indoor Season Saturday at the Crowell Open hosted by Army West Point.
KellyAnn Platt (Staten Island, N.Y.) picked up the team's top individual performance with a 12
th place finish in the Shot Put.
Platt closed the first Indoor competition for the Knights since March 7, 2020 with a 12
th place finish in the Shot Put. Platt finished with a mark of 7.78 meters for the Mount.
On the track,
Joanne Kubat (Williston Park, N.Y.) claimed a 17
th place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 12.10 seconds. She added a 29
th place finish for the Knights in the 60-meter dash, sprinting to a time of 9.86 seconds.
Jessica Kerrigan (Howard Beach, N.Y.) ran to a 25
th place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 9.17 seconds.
Priya Patel (Ozone Park, N.Y.) closed out the first competition of the season with a 19
th place showing in the 400-meter dash, completing the race in 1:16.72.
Following Saturday's strong start to the season, Mount Saint Mary will be off until January when it takes part in the Utica Blue and Orange Invitational.
