Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's and Women's Swimming teams will host a meet in the Kaplan Center Pool for the first time since January 18, 2020 on Saturday when it hosts non-conference foe FDU-Florham. Events with the Devils are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

MSMC Men At A Glance: The Knights enter Saturday's event with the Devils with a 1-2 overall record, scoring its first win of the season with a 90-16 victory over Queensborough in a tri-meet with league rival Sarah Lawrence on November 6.
Tyler Williams (Middlebury, Conn.) started the day with first place points for the Knights in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:28.54. Williams finished off a strong day with a runner-up finish for the Mount in the 500-yard freestyle, touching out in 5:55.78.
Jackson Lerner (Bayside, N.Y.) picked up the Mount's second win of the day in the 100-yard freestyle and added a second place showing in the 50-yard freestyle. Lerner's victory came in 58.57 seconds with his second place swim coming in 24.70 seconds.
Joseph Tagliareni (Hackettstown, N.J.) was the third Knight to post a win and a runner-up finish, topping the field in the 100-yard backstroke and showing a second place swim in the 200-yard individual medley. Tagliareni's victory came in 1:03.89 with his IM swim concluding with a time of 2:18.99.
Mount Saint Mary also received strong swims on Saturday from
Atticus Salazar and
Peter O'Malley (Yonkers, N.Y.). Salazar swam to a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:53.12 while O'Malley scored a second place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:13.24 and a third place showing in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.01.
Recent History: The Mount is a perfect 4-0 against the Devils since the start of the 2009-10 season. The most recent victory came on January 18, 2019 when the Knights took to the road and came away with a tight 126-114 triumph.
MSMC Women At A Glance: The Mount scored its first win of the season on November 6, topping Queensborough 84-12 and falling to league rival Sarah Lawrence 90-45. The Knights enter Saturday's meet with a 1-4 overall record in dual meets.
Emily Crowley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) picked up a victory on Saturday in the 100-yard breaststroke after posting a time of 1:18.64. Crowley added a runner-up finish for the Knights in the 50-yard freestyle, posting a time of 30.10 to close out a strong day for the Mount.
Kristen Dwight (Newfield, N.J.) bested the field for the Mount in the 200-yard freestyle and added a third place finish for the Knights in the 100-yard freestyle race. Dwight's victory came in 2:23.27 with her third place swim finishing in 1:06.40.
Emily Gursky (Oakville, Conn.) and
Jillian Bunch (Newburgh, N.Y.) both finished the meet with two runner-up finishes for the Knights. Bunch took second in both the 1,000 and 500-yard freestyle races in 12:25.85 and 5:54.17 with Gursky taking second place in the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke in 2:45.87 and 1:13.46, respectively.
Recent History: Since the start of the 2009-10 season, the Mount is an unbeaten 4-0 against FDU-Florham. In the two teams' last meet, the Mount came away with a 136-73 road win on January 18, 2019.
What's Next: The Knights will travel to Wilkes-Barre, Pa. to take part in the three-day Diamond City Invitational starting on November 19.
