Chris McGorty (Bellmore, N.Y.) scored his 80
th career combined victory.
McGorty is the first player on record to reach 80 combined wins with victories on Tuesday at first singles and first doubles. McGorty and
Jaden Tiriolo (Cheshire, Conn.) posted an 8-3 win in doubles play to move to 10-3 overall on the season and 4-3 against league rivals. McGorty went on to post his 80
th career in with a 6-4, 6-4 win at the top singles flight to close the season at 7-6 overall and 4-3 against conference foes.
Tiriolo picked up the Mount's other win in the match, closing out a strong sophomore season at the third singles position with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph. The win pushes Tiriolo to 12-1 in singles play on the season, including a 6-1 mark against Skyline Conference opponents.
Tuesday's loss finishes the Mount's season at 9-4 overall and 3-4 in Skyline Conference competition.
