Swimming Travels To Staten Island Saturday Afternoon

MSMC Men in action for first time this season

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's and Women's Swimming programs take to the road Saturday afternoon for a non-conference road dual meet at the College of Staten Island. Events with the Dolphins are scheduled to get underway at 1:00 p.m.
 
MSMC Men At A Glance: The Mount Saint Mary Men's team will be in action for the first time this season on Saturday, coming off a 2018-19 campaign that saw it go 3-4 in dual meet action and place fourth at the Skyline Conference Championship Meet.
 
The Knights welcome back six returning student-athletes for the 2019-20 season, including seniors Sam Kenney (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), Robert Kohlus (Wading River, N.Y.) and Davonte Woodton (Fort Montgomery, N.Y.).
 
Junior Matt Gallo (Clark, N.J.) returns for his third season with the Knights with sophomores Philip Crandall (Ravena, N.Y.) and Joseph Tagliareni (Hackettstown, N.J.) looking to make an impact this season.
 
Head Coach Daniel Drury adds freshman Tyler Williams (Middlebury, Conn.) to the fold in 2019-20.
 
MSMC Women At A Glance: The Knights opened the 2019-20 season on October 26 with a second place finish at the Sarah Lawrence Sprint Carnival.
 
The Knights picked up a pair of third place individual finishes at the event, with Katie Barber (Shelton, Conn.) taking third in the 100-yard butterfly and Daley O'Keefe (Glastonbury, Conn.) securing the third position in the 100-yard backstroke.
 
The Knights are coming off a 2018-19 season that saw them post an impressive 7-1 record in dual meet competition to go along with a runner-up finish at the Skyline Conference Championship Meet and a ninth place showing at the Metropolitan Championship Meet.
 
What's Next: The teams will open Skyline Conference competition on November 9 when they travel to Sarah Lawrence for a 1:30 p.m. dual meet with the Gryphons.
