Bellport, N.Y. - The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Golf team completed an undefeated conference fall season on Friday as the Knights defeated St. Joseph's-L.I. 344-360 at Bellport Golf Club. Senior
Matt Higgins (Meriden, Conn.) carded a season-best three-over par to lead the Mount.
Higgins fired a 74 in his final fall season match on Friday and earned medalist honors at the dual match with the Golden Eagles. Senior
Christian Spano (Mahopac, N.Y.) shot a season-best 84 in his second round of the season.
Sophomore
Owen Gallagher (Watertown, Mass.) played in his second match of 2019 and shot a season best 90 along with junior
Charles Benfer (Milton, N.Y.) who carded a 96. Junior
Ryan Bayer (New Windsor, N.Y.) finished the round with an 104 to round out the day for the Mount.
"Our program took a big step forward this fall. Our entire roster from top to bottom contributed to our successful season. We still have steps to go to get where we want to be and will continue to put in the work to get there. I'm very proud of the entire team and the success we had this season." Said Head Coach
