Greenwich, Conn. - The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Golf team continued its winning ways on Monday as the Knights won the Purchase College Invitational by 52 strokes at Tamarack Country Club. The Knights finished with a team score of 314 as Purchase finished with a 366 and Old Westbury shot a 370 as a team.

Patrick Shea (Warwick, N.Y.) tied his career-best with a five-over 76 to lead the Mount as he finished tied for first individually. Senior
Matt Higgins (Meriden, Conn.) continued his strong senior season, finishing the round with a 77.

Chris Shea (Warwick, N.Y.) finished the day with a solid 79 on the par-71 course and freshman
Matthew Ropiak (Staten Island, N.Y.) carded a season best round of 81. Junior
Daniel Schena (Cheshire, Conn.) finished the round with an 83 to round out the day for the Mount.Â

The Knights play their final match of the fall season when they travel to Long Island to play against St. Joseph's-L.I. on Friday at the Bellport Golf Club.
