Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Tennis team plays its final two regular season matches this weekend when it heads to Purchase on Saturday and hosts St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Sunday. Saturday's match with the Panthers is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. with Sunday's home finale scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Michelle Carnovale (Massapequa, N.Y.) leads the Mount in singles wins heading into the weekend, sporting a 10-1 mark at the top flight. She has won her last five decisions and is 9-1 in her last 10 matches. Carnovale has won 46 singles matches to date in her career, good for fourth place all-time at the Mount.
Sophomore
Katie Murray (Highland Mills, N.Y.) is sporting an 8-3 record in singles play, including an 8-2 mark at the fourth flight, while
Jessalyn Goetz (Bethel, N.Y.) enters the weekend with a 7-3 mark.
In doubles action, Carnovale and
Victoria Clay (Saint James, N.Y.) have played each match at the first flight and hold a 5-6 record. Murray and
Katrina Imperio (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) have found success at the third flight, winning five of their six matches as a pair.

Carnovale continued her stellar senior season on Saturday, battling to a hard fought 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 first singles victory over her opponent from the Golden Eagles. The victory improves her record at the top flight to 10-1 on the season and gives her double figures in singles wins for the third time in four years. The victory is her 46th triumph, moving her into fourth place all-time on the Mount's wins list.
Murray improved her record on the season to 8-3 overall and 8-2 at the fourth position on Saturday. She cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 victory for the Knights, giving her victories in each of her last two outings of the season.
Preview Purchase: The Panthers enter a Friday match against Farmingdale State at 2-7 overall and 2-3 in Skyline Conference play. Purchase has dropped three of its last four contests, with the lone win coming in a 6-3 decision against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on September 28.
Scouting St. Joseph's: The Bears will take on Manhattanville on Friday and enter that match at 3-7 overall and 1-4 in Skyline Conference action. St. Joseph's has dropped five of its last six matches, with the its last win coming against Sarah Lawrence on October 12.
Recent History: Since 2016, the Mount has dropped each of its four decisions with Purchase, including a 5-1 loss in last fall's Skyline Conference Championship tournament. The Mount has won each of its last four outings against St. Joseph's, dropping just two individual matches over the four meetings.
What's Next: If they qualify, the Knights will take part in the Skyline Conference Championship commencing on October 24 with the Semifinal Round.
