Newburgh, N.Y. - The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Golf team picked up its first ever head-to-head victory over Farmingdale State 326-332 on Friday at the Powelton Club. Senior
Matt Higgins (Meriden, Conn.) fired the low round of the day for the Knights with a seven-over par.
Higgins carded the best round of the day for the Mount as he fired a 77 to continue his strong senior campaign. Sophomore
Chris Shea (Warwick, N.Y.) finished another strong round with a 79 on the Knights home course.

Patrick Shea (Warwick, N.Y.) finished the day with an 81 as freshman
Matthew Ropiak (Staten Island, N.Y.) carded a 89 for Mount Saint Mary.
Christian Spano (Mahopac, N.Y.) and
Charles Benfer (Milton, N.Y.) each saw their first match action of the season, with Spano finishing with a 93 and Benfer carding a 90.
Chris Iguchi fired the low round of the day with a 74 to lead Farmingdale State.Â
The Knights continue their busy October schedule when they head to Willow Ridge to play in the CMSV Skyline Invite on Monday.
