Pelham, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Golf team was back on the course Sunday and topped Yeshiva by a pair of strokes, 331-333. Freshman
Tyler Gregory (Niskayuna, N.Y.) was the only Knights to break 80 with a 79 on the day.
Gregory continued his strong rookie season by leading the Knights on the par-70 course at Split Rock Golf Course. Senior
Bryan Gayton (Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y) also had a strong round with an 80 for the Mount.
Mount Saint Mary also received strong outings on Sunday from freshman
Patrick Shea (Warwick, N.Y.) and junior
Matt Higgins (Meriden, Conn.). Each player worked their way around the course in 86 on Sunday to support the winning effort.
The win is the second straight over Skyline Conference rivals, pushing the Knights to 2-0 in dual matches on the season. Next up for the Mount is a trip to Bellport, N.Y. on Friday for a date with St. Joseph's-L.I. and Old Westbury.
