Newburgh, N.Y. – After game two of last Saturday's road set at Old Westbury was postponed, the Mount Saint Mary College Softball team completed the sweep on Friday afternoon with a 13-2 victory over the Panthers. Junior 
Colleen Dunn (Bellmore, N.Y.) held Old Westbury to three hits for her third win of the season.
 
The Knights scored early and often on Friday, plating five runs in the first, four in the second and three more in the third to open a 12-0 lead. 
Emily Lang (Westtown, N.Y.) drove in a pair of runs in the first with 
Breanna DePasquale (Brooklyn, N.Y.) driving in a run with a sacrifice fly.
 
Connoly started the second inning scoring with a sacrifice fly, with DePasquale adding a run scoring single that delivered 
Michelle Surdan (Acton, Mass.). 
Lauren Oury (Bethpage, N.Y.) and 
Nicolette Moustouka (Seaford, N.Y.) closed out the scoring in the inning with RBI doubles.
 
Connoly was back in the middle of the third inning rally with a three-run home run before Lang delivered 
Allysun Adams (Middletown, N.Y.) with a single in the fifth to finish off the scoring in the game for the Knights.
 
Ten different Knights finished with a hit in the game, led by a 3-for-4 effort from Lang, who added three RBI. Moustouka finished 2-for-2 with 
Amanda Almodovar (Goshen, N.Y.) recording a pair of hits and three runs scored.
 
Shannon Sommer (Brewster, N.Y.) finished with a hit and a run scored, moving into first all-time in runs scored with 116. Surdan scored twice times for the Knights and Connoly drove in a team-high four runs in the win.
 
Dunn moved to 3-1 on the season after working her third complete game of the year. She allowed two runs on three hits and fanned six.
 
Friday's win pushes Mount Saint Mary to 22-12 overall on the season and to 15-1 in Skyline Conference play. The Knights close out the regular season on Saturday when they play host to Farmingdale State on Senior Day. First pitch with the Rams is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
