Edgewater, N.J. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Tennis team opened the conference schedule on Sunday afternoon at Yeshiva and suffered a 9-0 loss to the Maccabees. The loss dropped Mount Saint Mary to 0-4 overall on the season and to 0-1 in league competition.

Matt Anastasi (Salisbury Hills, N.Y.) gave reigning Skyline Conference Player of the Year David Papis Elon a tough match at the top singles position but fell in a 6-3, 6-3 decision. He later joined with
Chris McGorty (Bellmore, N.Y.) to push Adam Rosemblaum and Lior Brik to 9-7 in a first doubles defeat.
McGorty dropped his initial singles match of the spring at the second position by scores of 6-4, 6-1 and classmate
Shane Terry (Southampton, N.Y.) suffered a 6-3, 6-1 loss at the third singles position on Sunday.
Mount Saint Mary returns to the court in search of its first win of the season on Wednesday when it travels to Lehman. Match time with the Lightning is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
