Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Golf team returns to competition on Friday when it travels to Bethpage Red for the Farmingdale State Skyline Invitational and tussles with the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday at Split Rock Golf Course.
At A Glance: The Mount topped Yeshiva in a dual match on September 15 320-341 in its only other outing of the season thus far.
Daniel Schena (Cheshire, Conn.) and
Dylan Legg (Haines Falls, N.Y.) led the Mount by shooting 77 and 79, respectively.
Sophomore
Matt Higgins (Meriden, Conn.) carded an 81 in his season debut against the Maccabees, with
Christopher Ruggiero (Newburgh, N.Y.) and
Bryan Gayton (Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.) firing 83 and 89.
A Look At Farmingdale: The Rams welcome the rest of the Skyline Conference to Bethpage Red on Friday after finishing third of nine teams at the two-day FSC Fall Invitational. Andrew Goldman tied for third place at the event after firing a second round 72 for a two-round total of 146. Husson won the event with Rosemont placing second.
What's Next: Following Friday's conference date, the Knights will square-off with first year program Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday. The Knights host their Fall Skyline play day on October 13 at the Powelton Club starting at 10:00 a.m.
