Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Swimming team closed out the home schedule on Friday with a 115-59 non-conference win over visiting Bard. Freshman
Michael Neugebauer (Newburgh, N.Y.) scored a pair of wins on the night for the Mount.
Neugebauer posted wins for the Mount against the Raptors in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard individual medley. His freestyle time was 2:05.32 before he posted a time of 1:05.74 in the individual medley.

Steven Fejes (Stony Point, N.Y.) turned in a strong showing in his final home meet, winning the 1,000-yard freestyle and scoring a third place finish in the 100-yard individual medley. He won the longest event of the meet in 11:47.00 before scoring third place points in the individual medley race in 1:07.92.
Kyle Barber (Shelton, Conn.),
Robert Kohlus (Wading River, N.Y.) and
Sam Kenney (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) also scored victories on Friday for the Knights. Barber won the 100-yard butterfly in 56.16 seconds and Kenney scored a win for the Mount in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:56.95. Kohlus posted a victory for the Knights in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.34 and also finished third in the 100-yard butterfly in 56.91 seconds.
Jake Schoenherr (New Rochelle, N.Y.) turned in a pair of second place finishes for the Mount on Friday and newcomer
Peter O'Malley (Yonkers, N.Y.) touched out second in the 100-yard breaststroke. O'Malley finished in a time of 1:08.32, while Schoenherr swam a time of 22.72 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and a time of 50.73 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle.
The Knights opened Friday's contest with an impressive win in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Kohlus, Schoenherr, Barber and
Ryan Ward (Brooklyn, N.Y.) topped the field by better than eight seconds with a time of 2:08.25.
Friday's win improves Mount Saint Mary to 6-6 overall heading into the conference final on Saturday. The Knights will travel to the United States Merchant Marine Academy for a 1:00 p.m. meet with the Mariners.
