Newburgh, N.Y. – Elora Benfer's Mount Saint Mary College Women's Tennis team will return to action for three home matches in three days starting on Friday. The Knights will host New Rochelle to kick-off the weekend, before welcoming St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Saturday and Plattsburgh on Sunday.

Michelle Carnovale (Massapequa, N.Y.) has yet to lose a singles match for the Knights and stands at a perfect 5-0 at the first position.

Mikayla Zaccaria (Point Lookout, N.Y.) is 3-2 through five matches in 2016, including 2-0 at fourth singles, while newcomer
Miyanna Vernon (Liberty, N.Y.) stands at 3-1, including an unblemished 2-0 mark at sixth singles for the Knights.
In doubles action, the top pair of Carnovale and senior
Alissa Gileau (East Granby, Conn.) have won three of their five matches together and is the only Mount Saint Mary doubles pair with more than one victory.
A Look At The Blue Angels: New Rochelle comes to town in search of its first win of the season after dropping consecutive 9-0 decisions to start the year. The Blue Angles dropped their season opener to Brooklyn and most recently fell to Lehman on September 16.
Breaking Down The Lady Bears: St. Joseph's-Brooklyn is also in search of its first win of the season and stands at 0-5 overall and 0-3 in Skyline Conference play heading into a non-league match against Lehman on Thursday. In their last outing, the Lady Bears were topped by Brooklyn College, 7-2.
Denise Trerotola has the Lady Bears' only singles win on the season, picking up an impressive 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles against Brooklyn. She also teamed with Mary Edward for an 8-1 win against the Bulldogs at the first doubles position.
Scouting Plattsburgh: The Cardinals enter the weekend at 4-3 overall and will take on Bard on Saturday before heading to Newburgh. Sarah Drexinger and Shari Forman each hold 3-2 records at fourth and third singles, respectively and Kelci Henn has also won three times for Plattsburgh at the second position.
In doubles action the top pair of Henn and Kaitlyn Healy holds a 4-3 record on the season.
What's Next: After completing the three match home stand, the Mount will head to league rival Yeshiva on Tuesday before returning home for a non-conference home tilt with Lehman on September29.
