Throggs Neck, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Swimming team continued its dominance of the Skyline Conference on Friday with a pair of league wins, topping Maritime 140-56 and St. Joseph's-L.I. 129-67. Junior
Jessica Daigle (Trumbull, Conn.) and sophomore
Harley Illingworth (Northfield, N.J.) each won two events for the Mount.

Daigle continued her strong season in the middle and distance freestyles on Friday with victories in the 1,000-yard and 500-yard events. She bested the field in the longest event of the night in a time of 11:49.68 and topped the field in the 500-yard race in 5:43.67.

Illingworth picked up her two wins on the night in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke for the Knights. Her initial win of the meet came in a time of 2:05.45 and followed that up by posting a winning time of 1:05.4 in the backstroke event.

Sophomore
Kyra McNamee (Yonkers, N.Y.) turned in a strong meet with a win for the Knights in the 200-yard individual medley and a runner-up finish in the 500-yard freestyle. Her win came in 2:27.98 and she followed Daigle in the freestyle race in 5:45.30.

Regina Zeoli (Washingtonville, N.Y.) and
Marissa Catania (Rocky Hill, Conn.) also scored individual wins for the Knights on Friday. Zeoli topped the field by over three seconds in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:06.29, while Catania dominated the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:14.09, beating the runner up by over seven seconds.

Mount Saint Mary received a pair of second place swims from
Allison Sciucco (Middletown, N.Y.) who finished runner-up in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events and from
Stephanie Adams (Liverpool, N.Y.) in the 1,000-yard freestyle and
Breanne Greaves (Hamilton, N.J.) in the 100-yard backstroke.

The Knights took the top spot in both relay events contested on Friday, winning the 200-yard medley race to open the meet and the 200-yard freestyle to close the evening. The team of Illingworth, Catania,
Lauren Schroeder (Wantagh, N.Y.) and McNamee won the first event of the meet in 1:58.91, before the team of Schroeder, Zeoli, Daigle and Sciucco closed the night with a winning time of 1:55.05.

At 8-3 overall and 7-0 in conference competition, the Knights will return to action on Saturday at home against Cazenovia. Meet time with the Wildcats is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
