Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary Men's and Women's Swimming teams travel to Purchase, N.Y. to take on St. Joseph's College – Brooklyn and Purchase College. The Skyline Conference meet is scheduled to begin Friday evening at 6 p.m.
A Look At The Knights: The Men's team comes into this meet with an overall record of 1-4, and a conference record of 1-0. The team's lone win came against The College at Old Westbury. The last meet against King's College (PA.) showed
Robert Kohlus pick up the team's only win, and
Ryan Ward (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had two runner-up placements. The Women's team comes into this meet with an overall record of 3-3, and a conference record of 2-0. The team won its last meeting against King's College (PA.) as
Kyra McNamee (Yonkers, N.Y.) and
Harley Illingworth (Northfield, N.J.) both won two events.
Regina Zeoli (Washingtonville, N.Y.) and
Marissa Catania (Rocky Hill, Conn.) also had individual victories.
Scouting St. Joseph's College: The Men's team comes into this meet with an overall record of 0-1 with the loss coming against New Rochelle. Matthew Ramirez took first place in the 100-yard breaststroke. The Women's team comes into this meet with an overall record of 1-1, and a conference record of 0-1. The team won its last meet against New Rochelle in which the team broke three program records. Despite that, the team's only victory came in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Scouting Purchase: The Men's team comes into this meet with an overall record of 0-3, and a conference record of 0-1. In the last meet against SUNY Maritime College Sam Jaffe came in first in the 100-yard breaststroke. The Women's team comes into this meet with an overall record of 2-2, and with a conference record of 1-1. It is coming off a loss to SUNY Maritime College in which Colleen Ferguson, Lorena Peralta and Rachel Parker each recorded two wins.
What's Next: After this meet against St. Joseph's College – Brooklyn and Purchase College the Men's and Women's teams will host Skyline team Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday, Nov.12 in a meet that is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
