ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – In its only match of the fall semester, the Mount Saint Mary College men's tennis team fell to Bard College by a score of 7-2 Thursday evening at Stevenson Courts. The Knights will head into the spring season with an 0-1 record, while Bard improves to 1-1.

Dan Witke (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Nate Dimmie (Middletown, N.Y.) fell to Bard's Ted Laport and Keillor Mose, 8-5. Chris McGorty and senior
Joe Borden (Newburgh, N.Y.) dropped the No. 2 doubles match to Isaac Lertola and Satchel Fisher, 8-4. Sophomore
Chris Jaros (Marlboro, N.Y.) and Shane Terry fell to Miguel Garchitorena and Camille Wejnert-Depue at third doubles, 8-4.
Dimmie grabbed a win for the Knights at No. 3 singles, defeating Philip Poznansky, 6-4, 6-2. McGorty earned his first singles victory with a win over Lertola at flight four, 6-3, 6-3. The Knights were unable to pick up wins in the other four singles matchups.
The Knights will next play when the spring season kicks off in March. They have yet to finalize a spring schedule.
