ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - Mount Saint Mary College sophomore
Nate Dimmie (Middletown, N.Y.) won a pair of matches on Tuesday, but the Knights dropped a 5-4 decision to Cedarville University.
Dimmie paired with junior
Greg Jacob (Ridgefield, Conn.) for a well-deserved 8-4 win at first doubles. The sophomore also fought hard in a 6-4, 0-6, 6-4 win at third singles.
Sophomore
Conor Merryman (Marlboro, N.Y.) and senior
Bryan Pujol (East Rockaway, N.Y.) paired for an 8-6 win at third doubles. Tied at 6-6, Pujol fought through a tough service game for his fourth service hold of the match and the team went on to break for the match.
Freshman
Dan Witke (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was the other winner for the Knights, as he battled to a 6-4, 6-4 win at number five singles.
The Knights continue play in Florida against Ursinus College on Wednesday.
