NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College women's swimming (1-2) 400-yard freestyle relay team of Sophomore Lauren Becerra (White Plains, N.Y.), junior Meghan Seaman (Staten Island, N.Y.), freshman Amanda Bocekci (Paramus, N.J.) and freshman Allison Sciucco (Middletown, N.Y.) set a new program record on Saturday with a time of 3:57.80, which gave them first in the event. However, the women's swimming team (1-2) fell to King's College (Pa.) (4-2), 99-79, while the men (1-2) dropped a 106-83 decision to the King's men (3-2).

Becerra also took two individual victories on Saturday, taking first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:39.64, and later taking the top spot in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:42.65.

Sophomore Sam Watson (Groton, Conn.) was the lone individual winner for the men on Saturday, earning nine points for the Knights with a time of 2:11.75 in the 200-yard backstroke.

The Mount swimming teams next compete at Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday, Nov. 16. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m.
