MADISON, N.J. – Despite three individual event victories by senior
Enrique Naudy (Monroe, N.Y.) and two individual event wins each by senior
Censi Danner (Saugerties, N.Y.) and junior
Brianna Perazella (Chesire, Conn.), the Mount Saint Mary College swimming teams fell to Drew University in a mid-week meet. The Rangers defeated the Knights 104-88 on the men's side and 109-95 on the women's side. With the loss, both teams fall to 3-2 on the season.
Naudy continued his impressive season and captured first place in the 200 freestyle (1:59.59), the 200 individual medley (2:06.19) and the 500 freestyle (5:13.30). The Knights placed one-two in the 200 freestyle, as sophomore
Conor Dowd (Massapequa, N.Y.) finished behind Naudy in a time of 2:03.69.
Sophomore
Mark Bohlinger (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) was the only other individual winner for the Knights. Bohlinger earned a victory in the 100 freestyle (55.61) and placed second in both the 100 backstroke (1:04.37) and the 50 freestyle (24.32).
Perazella and Danner both captured two individual events for the women. Danner won the 50 freestyle (26.28) and the 100 breaststroke (1:12.32). Perazella raced to first place in the 1000 freestyle (11:52.48) and the 100 backstroke (1:10.95).
Sophomore
Allison Wyatt (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) finished just four seconds behind Perazella in the 100 backstroke to capture the one-two finish for the Knights. Wyatt also earned a second place finish in the 200 individual medley in 2:30.75.
After a busy start to the season, the Knights will not compete again until Friday, December 2, 2011. The Knights will travel to East Meadow, N.Y. to compete in the ECAC Preseason Championships.
