NEWBURGH, N.Y. – In their last home meet of the season, the Mount Saint Mary College swim teams fared well in a double dual meet with Post University and Fairleigh Dickinson University. The Mount's women's team won both meets to improve to 9-4, while the men split and ran their record to 10-3.
With superior depth, the Mount women defeated Post by a margin of 60-30 and Fairleigh Dickinson by a score of 76-16. The men blew past Fairleigh Dickinson, 71-9, but were defeated by Post, 54-33.
On the women's side, sophomore
Deirdre Kenny (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was a double winner, capturing both of the long distance events. She won the 100 freestyle in 12:44.26 and the 500 freestyle in 6:11.36, her fastest time of the season.
The only other individual event winner for the women was freshman
