Thomas DiLeo (Newburgh, N.Y.) and freshman
Enrique Naudy (Monroe, N.Y.) each won three individual events on Saturday, leading the Mount Saint Mary College men's swimming team to a 155-99 victory over King's College. Junior
Annie Parodi (Warwick, N.Y.) was the only individual event winner as the women's team lost 178-76.
DiLeo was victorious in the 200 butterfly (2:14.34), the 500 freestyle (5:20.81), and the 200 individual medley (2:18.94). Naudy took home the 200 freestyle (1:54.26), the 100 freestyle (49.34), and the 100 butterfly (57.30). He was just eight one-hundredths of a second off the school record in the 100 freestyle. Brian Heitman (Ramsey, N.J.) who won the 1000 freestyle in 11:35.95 and freshman
Kevin Wallace (Middletown, Conn.) who won the 200 breaststroke in 2:32.73. Sophomore
Brian Carr (Linden, N.J.) put in a pair of nice swims in the backstroke events, just missing first place in the 100 (1:05.81) and the 200 (2:24.69).
Parodi won the 200 butterfly in 2:29.78 and was second in the 100 backstroke (1:09.34) and the 200 backstroke (2:28.84). Sophomore
Christina Gulotta (Howell, N.J.) and freshman
Laura Condon (Syracuse, N.Y.) each had two second place finishes.
Both teams will close their first semester schedule at the Division III ECAC Championships to be held from December 5-7. The championship meet will take place at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow, N.Y. and will start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday the 5th.
