Mount Saint Mary College Athletics

Matt Garcia was named the 2014-15 Mount Saint Mary Student-Athlete of the Year at the 2014-15 Athletics Award Ceremony on April 30.

Garcia became the first-ever two-time Student-Athlete of the Year after winning the award in 2013-14 as well. He was named the 2014 Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Year and was picked for the Skyline Men's Soccer All-Conference First Team for the second time in two seasons. He also earned a spot on the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Men's All-East Region First Team. He needed just two seasons to break the program's career goals record, a record that stood for 20 years, with 28 in his two seasons. He scored 11 goals and dished out four assists for a total of 26 points in 2014.
