Junior defender Claire Duffy had another outstanding week despite an 0-2 record for the Knights. She totaled nine points on seven goals and two assists, and adde 10 ground balls, 10 draw controls and five caused turnovers. She provided three goals and an assist in Tuesday's 17-8 loss at Vassar College with a team-high eight ground balls. She then scored four times and assisted one more in the Knights' 19-13 loss to St. Joseph's College (L.I.) on Saturday. She added a game-high seven draw controls in the loss. Duffy has already set the program's single-season ground balls record with 65, and draw control record with 83. She has also set career-highs this season with 33 goals, nine assists and 42 points.
The Knights are now locked into the No. 3 seed for the Skyline Conference Championships. They will travel to Farmingdale, N.Y. on Wednesday, April 29, for a semifinal matchup with the No. 2-seeded Rams of Farmingdale State College. The opening draw is set for 7 p.m.
